Warranty Policy
This Limited Warranty applies to eligible COSWHEEL electric bikes purchased through coswheelebike-ca.com or an authorized COSWHEEL retailer or distributor in Canada.
Each eligible new COSWHEEL electric bike is covered for the original retail purchaser, subject to the terms, limitations, and exclusions described below.
Proof of purchase is required to submit a warranty claim. Product registration may help us verify your purchase more efficiently, but it does not replace valid proof of purchase or limit any rights available under applicable Canadian consumer protection laws.
1. Warranty Coverage
COSWHEEL warrants that, under normal and intended use, the covered frame, mechanical components, electrical components, and battery will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original delivery date.
This Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects that existed at the time of delivery or became apparent during the applicable warranty period. It does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized modifications, or damage caused by external factors.
Covered Mechanical Components
Covered mechanical components may include:
- Frame
- Wheelset
- Stem
- Bolts and fasteners
- Brake levers
- Front suspension
- Rear suspension, where applicable
- Crankset
- Cassette
- Rear derailleur
- Brake rotors
- Front and rear reflectors
Covered Electrical Components
Covered electrical components may include:
- Motor
- Controller
- Display
- Throttle
- Speed sensor
- Wiring and electrical connectors
- Battery charger supplied with the bike
Coverage applies only when the component failure results from a defect in materials or workmanship rather than normal wear, improper use, accidental damage, water ingress, unauthorized repair, or modification.
2. Battery Warranty
The original battery supplied with the electric bike is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original delivery date.
Rechargeable batteries naturally lose capacity through age, charging cycles, temperature exposure, storage conditions, and regular use. A gradual reduction in battery range or capacity is considered normal wear and is not, by itself, a manufacturing defect.
The battery warranty does not cover damage or premature deterioration resulting from:
- Use of an incompatible or unauthorized charger
- Improper charging or storage
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Water intrusion or excessive moisture
- Deep discharge or prolonged storage without charging
- Physical impact, puncture, fire, or accident
- Modification, disassembly, or unauthorized repair
- Failure to follow the battery care instructions
3. Eligibility for Warranty Coverage
To qualify for this Limited Warranty:
- The electric bike must have been purchased from coswheelebike-ca.com or an authorized COSWHEEL retailer or distributor in Canada.
- The claimant must be the original retail purchaser.
- Valid proof of purchase showing the purchase date, product, and seller must be provided.
- The product must have been used and maintained according to the owner’s manual and product instructions.
- The product must not have been materially modified or repaired by an unauthorized person.
- The serial number and product identification labels must remain present and legible.
- The warranty claim must be submitted within the applicable warranty period.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, this Limited Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to products purchased and used in Canada. Warranty service is generally limited to the country in which the product was originally purchased.
4. Intended Use
The electric bike must be used in accordance with:
- The intended use and capabilities of the specific COSWHEEL model
- The owner’s manual and safety instructions
- Applicable federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal laws
- Local rules governing electric bicycles, off-road vehicles, trails, roads, and private property
Some COSWHEEL models may be designed for recreational or off-road use, while others may be intended for paved-road riding. Riders are responsible for confirming where and how their specific model may legally be operated.
Use in racing, stunt riding, high-impact jumping, competitive events, or other activities beyond the intended capability of the product is not covered.
5. Warranty Claim Procedure
To submit a warranty claim, contact COSWHEEL Canada at:
Email: service.ca@coswheel.com
Please provide:
- Your full name
- Order number
- Proof of purchase
- Product model
- Frame or product serial number
- A detailed description of the issue
- Clear photos or videos showing the problem
- Any additional information reasonably requested by COSWHEEL
COSWHEEL may first provide remote troubleshooting instructions. The customer must reasonably cooperate with the diagnostic process so that COSWHEEL can determine whether the issue is covered.
Do not ship the complete bike or any component to COSWHEEL without prior written authorization. COSWHEEL is not responsible for unauthorized shipments.
6. Warranty Remedies
If COSWHEEL determines that a defect is covered by this Limited Warranty, COSWHEEL may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:
- Provide troubleshooting or repair instructions
- Send a replacement component
- Repair the defective component
- Replace the defective component with a new or functionally equivalent component
- Authorize repair through an approved service provider
- Provide another remedy required by applicable law
Replacement components may differ in colour, design, or specification from the original component but will provide substantially equivalent functionality.
A replacement or repaired component does not restart or extend the original warranty period. It will remain covered for the balance of the original warranty period or for any additional period required by applicable law.
If inspection determines that the issue is not covered, the customer may be responsible for diagnostic, repair, replacement, labour, and shipping costs. COSWHEEL will inform the customer of applicable charges before proceeding with a paid repair whenever reasonably possible.
COSWHEEL will only reimburse shipping or repair expenses that were approved in writing before the expense was incurred.
7. Shipping and Labour Costs
For an approved warranty claim, COSWHEEL will cover the reasonable cost of shipping an eligible replacement component to the original delivery address in Canada.
COSWHEEL may also cover reasonable return-shipping costs for a defective component when the return is requested and authorized in advance.
Unless required by applicable law or approved in writing by COSWHEEL, this Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Unauthorized repair expenses
- Third-party inspection or diagnostic fees
- Bike shop labour charges
- Assembly or disassembly costs
- Transportation of the complete bike
- Travel, pickup, or delivery expenses
- Costs resulting from an unauthorized shipment
8. Shipping Damage
Damage caused during delivery is handled separately from the Limited Warranty.
Customers should inspect the package and product promptly after delivery. Any visible shipping damage, missing items, or significant packaging damage should be reported to COSWHEEL within 14 days of delivery.
Please retain the original packaging and provide clear photographs or videos of:
- The shipping carton
- The shipping label
- The damaged packaging
- The damaged product or component
Reporting shipping damage after 14 days may affect our ability to submit a claim to the carrier, but this reporting period does not limit any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
9. Warranty Exclusions
To the extent permitted by applicable law, this Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Normal reduction in battery capacity
- Damage caused by abuse, neglect, misuse, or accident

- Damage resulting from continued use after a defect or safety issue becomes apparent

12. Limitation of Warranty
This Limited Warranty describes COSWHEEL’s voluntary manufacturer warranty and the remedies available under that warranty.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any warranty, condition, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable federal, provincial, or territorial law.
Where permitted by law, any implied warranties or conditions are limited to the duration of this Limited Warranty. However, this limitation does not apply where such warranties, conditions, rights, or remedies cannot legally be limited.
Residents of Québec and other Canadian jurisdictions may have additional statutory rights, including legal warranties relating to quality, durability, fitness for purpose, and reasonable product life. Those rights are not replaced or reduced by this Limited Warranty.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, COSWHEEL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use the product, including loss of income, loss of business, loss of use, or costs associated with substitute transportation.
These limitations do not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law and do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern regarding a product or warranty claim, please contact COSWHEEL Canada first. We will make reasonable efforts to review the matter and reach a fair resolution.
If the matter cannot be resolved directly, either party may pursue the rights and remedies available under the applicable laws of the Canadian province or territory in which the customer resides.
Nothing in this policy requires a customer to waive access to a court, regulatory authority, consumer protection agency, class proceeding, or any other right that cannot legally be waived.
15. Governing Law
This Limited Warranty is governed by the applicable laws of Canada and the province or territory in which the original purchaser resides, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection rights available in that jurisdiction.
